The brief:

Every year Bridge The Gap (BTG) host a council funded film festival (It Takes A Village Film Festival – ITAV). Each year the films produced and showcased follow a theme that most young people can relate to. In 2024 it was Love vs Money, and in 2025 the theme was Motherhood,

The goal was to deliver a recap video of the two day event to showcase the power of community when they come together and celebrate young filmmakers.

BTG support and amplify the voices of emerging and marginalised filmmakers by offering awards, mentorship opportunities and industry exposure ensuring that their stories reach wider audiences,


How we delivered:

The most important aspect of this video for us was staying within the theme of the film festival. How can we showcase motherhood in a two minute recap video for a two day film festival? We were able to accomplish this by showcasing as much affection in the video as possible. From mums hugging their children, to showing glimpses of the films produced and short snippets of workshops that are held by mothers.
 
This event highlight video covered everything that happened in South London at The Ritzy, Brixton. The two day event had everything from Q&A’s and film screenings to workshops and designated, branded photography area.
 

The success of the video and BTG’s film festival allowed them to continue to receive funding to continue their film festivals and supporting young filmmakers by funding their productions. We’re excited to continue working with BTG and The ITAV in 2026 on their next theme – Metamorphosis!
