University of the Arts London offer creative businesses a space to innovate by bringing together their academics and associates with business founders to develop purpose-driven projects and services. They primarily support founders from underrepresented backgrounds.
UAL have worked to develop businesses with almost 50 Londoners providing each person access to 30+ hours of support. These businesses have progressed to achieve residencies and funding.
They continue to build relationships with other founders and peers as part of the Founder club, and have continued to collaborate with UAL since.
Working with someone as established as UAL meant that we had to enter with the most informative, powerful and emotional video.
During the production, the interviewees were asked on their success stories with UAL, where they plan on taking their business after the Creative Futures programme and the amount of support they received from founders and fundraisers.
The Creative Futures programme primarily aimed to help founders from BAME communities, people who experience the effects of ableism, marginalised communities, women, and other marginalised genders. These founders were all showcased and interviewed as part of the final production.
